Ross Stores Closing 2024 List. Both discounted retailers — which are owned by tjx companies — will close several stores in new york and chicago beginning in january 2024, due to an evaluation of their retail presence. Through the nine months of fiscal 2023, the company opened 97 stores, including 72 ross and 25 dd’s discounts.
Their goal was to reduce store density in certain locations by closing around 300 stores per year for the next three years—resulting in roughly 900 total closures by 2024. Boots, wetherspoons and costa coffee are all among the high street chains set to see lots of closures in 2024.
